Lent begins Wednesday, 5 March 2025. In his Message for Lent 2025, Pope Francis invites us to “journey together in hope”.
As we undertake this annual journey we are asked how our lives reflect this fact. We are called “to examine whether in our lives, in our families, in the places where we work and spend our time, we are capable of walking together with others, listening to them, resisting the temptation to become self-absorbed and to think only of our own needs”, but rather cooperate with others. …show ourselves welcoming, with concrete gestures, to those both near and far…and make others feel a part of the community”.
